Tom Ling – Sales Manager
Tom joined Mercer Company in February of 2021, his key responsibilities include recruiting, coaching, and retention of Market Directors. Tom will carry forward an eclectic style of sales management to help grow all DFW markets Mercer Company serves. Overseeing day-to-day sales activities is imperative to the growth of the company and Tom will ensure that Market Directors develop an understanding of available space, owner and tenant representation. His goal is for Mercer Company to continue to be the market experts when it comes to industrial warehouse space. Developing a level of trust and strong working relationships with other real estate firms and shared clients, Mercer Company will always focus on the clients’ best interest first. Tom’s core belief is to foster and create a positive work environment that stands for a brand of impeccable trust.
Background and Experience
Tom has an extensive background in commercial & civil construction, global sales, and sales management. He has worked for international companies including Liebherr Earth Moving Division and Atlas Copco Construction Tools Division. Most recently Tom spent the past eight years as the VP of Sales for Brannon Industrial Group, a midsize company involved in commodity recycling and service industries.
Tom attended Rice University and completed his degree at UT Arlington in Environmental Science and Business.
Tom is married to his wife, Heather, of 24 years. Together they have 4 children: Isabella, Thomas, Natalea, and Pierce. Growing up along the Texas Mexico border, Tom is bilingual and loves to cook all types of dishes from around the world. From Asian fusion to traditional Mexican dishes, Tom also holds the job responsibility at Mercer Company as company chef or short-order cook. His love of music, including almost every genre, parallels the dishes he serves to family and friends.
